Abstract

In 2021, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Panama celebrates 70 years of foundation, which is why various allusions to the subject have been written. This letter to the editor seeks to pay tribute to its first dean, Alejandro Méndez Pereira with a brief biographical note.
